Retractable Cocobolo Pen

A unique cocobolo pen handcrafted in a long design with high quality gold plated trim. This beautiful pen was handmade on a wood turning lathe in my own UK workshop. Part of the Dalbergia rosewood family, Mexican cocobolo wood can vary from dark brown to a colourful orange and is naturally oily.

Made with a single barrel at 137mm long and operates with a retractable ballpoint mechanism for a convenient one-handed operation. The replaceable cartridge is a black Parker ball point G2 type refill. Other refills are available from my spares and accessories or other stationery suppliers.

I hand turned the exotic wood pen blank to round and shape on the lathe. Once shaped, it needs sanding and coating with CA glue. Finally, polished to 12000 grit using micro mesh for a hard and durable high gloss shine. Requiring up to eight coatings of superglue, this takes time and skill to apply hence my prices.
