A red ballpoint pen hand turned on a wood-turning lathe in my own UK workshops. The pen has gold-plated trim and a smoother twist mechanism than my slimline/streamline range, with a red resin and small ribbons of white for the pen barrels.
The resin blank cut to size for the pen and then drilled with an appropriately sized hole, this I then mount this on my lathe and turned and shaped too round. Resin blanks are very hard and can be difficult to work with so lots of turners avoid them. The resin then sanded from 120 grit through too 12000 grit for a high gloss finish.
The pen uses a cross ball type black refill available from my pen spares refills or any good stationery suppliers.
Every pen comes in a presentation box as a standard. As all my pens are unique with varying ribbons and irradiance, they will all make unique valentine gifts.
