Real Pasta Pen

A rollerball pen with real fusilli pasta hand turned in my UK workshops using traditional tools and techniques. This is a fun novelty pen using coloured Italian pasta and white resin for a unique look on the pen barrels. High-quality chrome-plated trim, a rounded top and bottom with black accents, and a detailed centre band give this rollerball pen a quality, timeless look and feel. The pen has a postable cap, so you can screw the cap onto the end of the pen affecting the length and balance for your writing comfort if you wish.

Rollerball pens come a close second to fountain pens as fine writing instruments; this pen is no exception. Supplied with a medium Schmidt ceramic roller ball liquid ink refill. This pen is ideal for executive pens or handmade gifts.

With the resin cut and mounted on my lathe, then turned and shaped to the required dimensions. Once shaped, it needs sanding and polishing to 12000 grit for a polished and durable finish. With all the fresh pasta available from Italy, some pasta shapes are more suitable than others for this work.
