A Streamline handmade blue ballpoint twist pen hand turned on a woodturning lathe in my UK workshops. This blue ballpoint pen has a high-quality chrome-plated trim and a Royal and Sky Blue acrylic resin with a pearlescent shimmer for the barrels.
The resin blank is cut to size for the pen and then drilled with an appropriately sized hole. This then needs mounting on the lathe and hand-turned and shaped to round. Resin blanks a very hard material to turn, lots of turners avoid it altogether. The resin is then sanded from 120 grit through to 12000 grit for a high gloss finish.
This pen uses a cross-type medium ballpoint black refill available from my pen spares and refills or any other good stationery suppliers.
