Streamline Purpleheart Pen – Black Titanium

A beautiful Streamline purpleheart pen handcrafted on a wood turning lathe in my own UK workshops. The purple barrels are hand turned from a piece of Purpleheart wood. Yes, the wood is naturally this purple, with no stains, tricks or treatments used at all. Originating from central and south America, it’s brown when cut; it later becomes bright purple. Hard on tools but has a stunning finish, normally used for details, inlay and accents.

On the lathe, I manually shaped the wood pen blank to round and form. Once shaped and sanded, it needs finishing with Ca glue for a hard and durable high gloss finish.

This exotic pen has high-quality black titanium trim and uses a cross-type medium ballpoint black ink refill. Replacements are available from any good stationery supplier. The perfect size for those who like a slim and elegant writing instrument.
