Rollerball Whisky Barrel Pen

A Whisky barrel pen handcrafted on a wood-turning lathe in my own UK workshops. The pen has a high-quality chrome-plated trim with a non-posted cap. This is a big pen, the thing to use while writing cheques and making a statement. The barrels are hand-turned from an old oak whisky cask stave. Length capped 145 mm, with the cap removed 130 mm and a weight of 67 g.

I hand-turned the wood to round and shape on the lathe. Once shaped and sanded, the pen needs finishing with super glue for a hard and durable high gloss finish. The wood needs sealing with a durable finish, not the woodturners traditional friction polish or wax as these are not durable enough for daily use. Sealing the wood will prevent the natural oils from the skin staining and discolouring this beautiful wood.

These fine writing pens use a premium ceramic roller ball liquid ink refill, other refills are available from any good stationery suppliers.

This pen is of good quality and has a look of pure elegance. These wooden rollerball pens give the style and originality of something handcrafted and yet have the smooth writing ability of a fountain pen. This pen also has an upgraded presentation box, a certificate of authenticity, and an offcut of the original whiskey cask stave for an original gift.
