An Elm ballpoint pen handcrafted with reclaimed HMS Victory wood. Salvaged Elm from an ongoing 15-year ship refit, this is the original wood from the keel. The timber in the ship bottom is the oldest part of this great historic Ship.
Construction started in 1759 with laying the keel before finally handing over to the Royal Navy in 1765 as a first-rate ship of the line. 600 trees used in construction, mostly oak with some elm seasoned for fourteen years. Seeing four notable actions before the famous 1805 Battle of Trafalgar commanded by Lord Nelson.
This is a quality ballpoint pen hand turned with a hard Ca finish. A single barrel design with chrome top and bottom with gold-plated detail centre band. Wood grain cut on a 45-degree bias for better effect. Twisting the top section extends the black ink G2 refill.
A great HMS Victory Gift presented in a black-lined presentation box complete with an authenticity certificate.

I have bought two of these for two grandsons and I’m delighted with them. They are most beautifully made and presented. I have bought other presents from Whitlock Designs in the past and they have been received with great pleasure. The designs never fail to please.
