A pen handcrafted on a lathe in my own UK workshops. This handmade pen has a high-quality gold-plated trim non-posted. The red pen barrels hand turned from an acrylic resin made for pen turning and this one is a mottled red colour. The pen has a gold-plated medium point nib with an ink cartridge so you can start writing immediately.

With the pen blank cut to size for the pen and then drilled with an appropriately sized hole. Then mounted on the lathe and hand turned and shaped to round. The acrylic resin is then sanded from 120 grit through to 12000 grit for a high gloss finish. Resin blanks are hard and sometimes difficult to work with so lots of Turners avoid them.
