This copper twist ballpoint pen hand turned on a woodturning lathe in my UK workshop. The handcrafted pen barrels made with a pearlescent copper coloured resin with copper plated hardware.
This pen uses a blank specially cast for pen turning. The barrel hand turned on my lathe to round and shape, then sanded and polished to 12000 grit. When turning you are never really sure what will be revealed with acrylic media, in particular, this one has varying shades of copper with sparkling irradiance which is all complimented by the high-quality copper plated hardware.
This copper pen has a twist action mechanism and uses a black cross style refill available from any good stationery suppliers. The colour of the hardware is copper, though it does not seem so in the photos.
