The wood has had a lot of work done before I even get my hands on it. Buckeye burl is soft but figured, so to make it usable, it has resin forced into it using a vacuum chamber and dyed to show off the figure better hence the name double-dyed buckeye burl. With the natural nature of this species, holes in the wood may need filling with an infill. The pen barrels turned from double-dyed buckeye burl imported from the USA.
The Buckeye burl wood pen uses a black ceramic liquid ink Rollerball refill from any good stationery suppliers.
