Wooden Hybrid Copper Ballpoint Pen

Description

A wooden hybrid pen hand turned in my own UK workshop on a woodturning lathe using traditional tools and techniques.

Although not a true segmented wood design, I segment it with copper resin and cherry. This ballpoint has a twist mechanism with high-quality 24 carat gold-plated trim to complement the other colours.

Segmented designs offer endless possibilities with all the different colours and patterns.

I hand turned the wood to round and shape on the lathe. Once shaped and sanded the pen needs finishing with super glue for a hard and durable high gloss finish. Some of my competitors only use a wax or oil finish but this will not durable protect pens from wear over time from the natural oils and stains it will gather.

This pen uses a cross type medium ballpoint black ink refill. Other refills are available from my pen spares & refills or any other good high street stationery shop.

Each pen gift comes in a presentation box as the standard. As every piece of wood different these pens will make great gift ideas for 5th wedding anniversary gifts.
