Oak Twist Ballpoint Pen

Description

A beautiful hand turned pen, one of my slimline pen designs with a high-quality chrome plated trim. The pen hand turned by me on a wood-turning lathe in my own UK workshop. Only traditional tools used in the old-fashioned ways, each one slightly different, although you may find it hard to notice. The wood I have used on this one is Oak which grows in abundance throughout England and has been used for just about everything through the centuries, the wall panel’s in old English stately homes, for parts of the ships Nelson used and lots more in between.

Once shaped it needs sanding through too 400 grit and then finishing. Up to 8 coats of cyanoacrylate applied, then polished to 12000 grit for a durable high gloss finish. Making pens with this finish is time-consuming but worth the effort.

This pen has a black cross type refill available from my pen spares & refills or any other good stationery suppliers.

All my twist pens come in a presentation box as a standard. All wood different, these pens make great gifts for her birthday or unique wooden gifts for an anniversary.
