Description
A beautiful ballpoint Thuya burl pen hand turned in my UK workshops. This pen has a twist action mechanism and a high-quality chrome and gun-metal trim. The pen barrel handcrafted from a piece of Thuya burl wood. The wood mounted on my lathe and hand turned to round and shaped. Once shaped it needs sanding through to 400 grit and then up to 8 coatings of super glue applying. Once hardened then polished to 12000 grit using micro mesh for a super hard and durable high gloss finish. If the wood is not sealed properly and with a durable non-wear finish, the natural oils from the skin will stain and discolour the wood.
This wood pen uses a Parker style G2 medium ballpoint black ink refill available from any other stationery suppliers. All of my pen gifts come in a presentation box as a standard.
