This is an executive ball pen hand turned in my own UK workshops using traditional hand tools and techniques. This beautiful pen has a high-quality rhodium trim to compliment the herringbone design. Rhodium is seen on far more expensive pens, similar in looks to chrome but far more durable.
Of all the unusual segmented pens that I make this one was a challenge but wow what a beautiful pen. The blank is cut to size for the pen and then drilled with the correct sized hole, this is then mounted on my lathe and hand turned and shaped to round. The barrel is then sanded from 120 grit through to 12000 grit for a high gloss finish. More about this pen in my blog post.
This pen operates with a twist mechanism and uses a Parker G2 type black ink refill available from my pen spares & refills or any other good stationery suppliers.
All my unique ballpoint pens come in a presentation box as standard. Every one of my hand turned pens is different with various wood and materials they will all make unique handmade wooden Mother's Day, Father's Day, birthday or Christmas gifts.
